PrivacyPolicy

Last updated August 2026. This page explains what PoliceAI collects from citizen and police accounts, how detected violations are handled, and the rights you have over your data.

What We Collect

We only collect what's needed to run the platform, review detected violations, and keep accounts secure.

Account

Email, username, bcrypt-hashed password, and encrypted API tokens for citizen, police officer, and admin accounts.

Uploaded Media

Images and video you or a police officer submit for AI violation detection.

Detection Data

AI-generated results from that media: violation type, confidence score, license plate reads, and timestamped evidence metadata.

Usage & Technical

Features used, upload frequency, device and browser type, IP address, and login history -- used for security and abuse prevention.

PoliceAI is currently a demonstration system. Detections are generated from footage and images submitted through the platform -- it is not yet connected to live public traffic camera networks or external law-enforcement databases.
